I Miss The History Channel

Hi Friends,

As I woke up this morning, I was thinking about how much I used to love watching the History Channel on a good weekend morning.  I used to love watching old classics like “Decisive Battles” or specials on Medieval Warfare or the Presidents.  Unfortunately, they have decided to replace most of those shows with shows like “Swamp People.”  Now don’t get me wrong, because I love Duck Dynasty, I just wish the History Channel would have more shows like “Vikings.”

This channel is a tremendous opportunity to spread the message of history to the public.  The channel has a great opportunity to teach historical understanding and empathy.  They can bring history to the people through experts and through sources of people at actual events in history.  I think the History Channel realizes that it needs to go back to history, and I hope that we will be able to see more shows that seek to promote historical understanding!
