Happy 4th of July

Hello everyone,

To all Americans out there, I’d like to wish you a great day to celebrate American Independence.  To all those who are not Americans, I hope you still have a great day!  Today is my brother’s birthday, so in addition to the delicious steak and military channel specials (because the History Channel is barely touching on the American Revolution) our family will be enjoying a delicious birthday cake.

So on that note, I leave you with a picture that is often times incorrectly assumed to have been made specifically for the American Revolution, but comes courtesy of Ben Franklin from the Pennsylvania Gazette in 1754.

Happy 4th!

-Phil
